Lifters are sports shoes specially designed for weightlifting. You therefore wear lifters during exercises such as the back squat, front squat, overhead squat, snatch and clean & jerk.
You use lifters because Crossfit is all about moving as much weight as possible in as little time as possible. With lifters you are more stable and can therefore move more weight! Lifters are robust, stiff and have a raised heel. The heel gives you less flexibility and your posture is better.
